Tickets have just gone on sale for the Silverstone Classic 31 July to 2 August 2020. No news yet on the music but it’s the thirtieth anniversary of the event so it should be a special one.
The event attracts over 100 car clubs and 10,000 classic cars. Watch out for the car club discount codes landing soon. Maybe we’ll see you there.
We’ve had a bountiful harvest at Bonhur this year of all sorts of produce. We stopped counting when we got to 50 kg of prunes (plums), over 100 kg of apples ….. cépes are the latest bounty. Cèpes sell for up to 25 € a kilo so you can appreciate why children set up little market stalls at the side of the road to earn some pocket money, and why people keep their foraging area quiet. With the hot summer and the wet September it has been ideal conditions for this elusive fungi. We’re very much looking forward to a nice omelette, pasta, risotto, aperitif toasts ……...
Dates have been announced for the 10th Classic Le Mans as 2 - 5 July 2020. General and ‘privilege’ tickets are on sale now, with car clubs and other admissions to follow. The weekend’s festivities will actually start on Thursday afternoon for the first time. With over 550 cars racing and over 8,000 club cars on display it’s a spectacle worth seeing.
