At Bonnes Routes we go the extra mile to help our guests have an excellent holiday, focused on helping them get the most out of their car while enjoying the countryside and visiting the excellent tourist destinations that this region has to offer.
We know how much planning is involved in ensuring the roads are suitable for your car, the parking at your destination is as safe and accessible as possible, then plotting your route, programming your sat nav …. it’s definitely a labour of love taking your cherished car on holiday.
Bonnes Routes is here to take away some of that pain, offering a service you won’t get anywhere else.
Interactive Map
Our interactive map provides guests with an extensive choice of places to visit, including links to route maps to help them get there on the most suitable roads, costs, websites, parking details and other information to make your journey hassle free. The map can be accessed on your PC while in the UK, and via tablet or mobile while you are in France. It is also available on the guest iPad in the gîte for easy access.
The full version has over 150 destinations, 70 parking place covering 20 key towns, as well as shopping and restaurants. Guests will be sent a link to the map before they arrive with full instructions on how to use it to make the most of their trip.
itineraries - ready made and bespoke
Our printed itineraries offer guests an easy option when planning days out and are a great companion to our interactive map and routes.
These driving tours join up some key tourist sites with suggested times for visits and restaurants for meals if appropriate. Each one provides a full day out. The full version of each itinerary is available in the “Days Out” folder in the gîte along with a link to an electronic version of the overview map for each itinerary. The printed version provides detailed written driving directions, including directing you to suitable parking at each stopping point. Our directions take you via sensible and scenic routes rather than Garmin or Google options!
We can create bespoke itineraries for guests, either by mixing and matching existing options, or adding in totally new destinations at your request. Just let us know where you want to go and give us 24 hours notice!
A Michelin Corrèze Dordogne 1:150,000 map is also available in the gite for guests to take out with them. We don’t go anywhere without ours, and if you fancy deviating from the defined route then this will be invaluable.
